Biography
Dr. Das studied literature and philosophy at the University of Michigan and Harvard University before graduating from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, in 2001. He then pursued a PhD at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, during which time he studied the biology of neural stem cells. He entered the neurosurgical training program at Northwestern University in 2003. In 2010, he joined the faculty in the Division of Neurosurgery at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto. His clinical interest is in the surgical management of malignant brain tumours and tumours involving the skull base. His laboratory investigates the biology of stem cells in the normal brain and in primary brain tumours.
