Numerical and analytical method development for modelling of environmental systems, with a focus on groundwater flow, subsurface heat and solute transport, and surface water hydrology Modelling regional- and local-scale groundwater flow with the analytic element method, extended finite element method, adn series solution approaches Numerical methods, upscaling approaches, and parameterization issues in hydrologic modelling
