Biography
Mark Smucker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Sciences, and is cross-appointed to the School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. In 2012, Professor Smucker was the recipient of the ACM SIGIR Best Paper Award. In addition to his research work, he wrote a chapter in the book Interactive Information Seeking Behavior and Retrieval called “Information Representation”.
