Biography
Parmit Chilana is an Assistant Professor in the Management Sciences department at the University of Waterloo. Professor Chilana received her PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington. For her dissertation, she invented “LemonAid”, a novel selection-based crowdsourced help tool that allows users to retrieve questions and answers from other users by making on-screen selections. Based on this research, Professor Chilana co-founded AnswerDash, a spinoff company that is now offering self-service contextual help technology for e-commerce and other web applications.
