Biography
Dr. Cott works with the Government of Northwest Territories – Environment and Natural Resources, based out of Yellowknife. Pete actively collaborates on a variety of projects with academic and government researchers focusing on the ecology of northern freshwater fishes, as well as impacts from northern developments on fish and fish habitat. He is a member of the Freshwater Fishes Specialist Subcommittee - Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC). Current student projects include investigations of the ecology of juvenile Arctic Grayling (University of Alberta), habitat associations of Arctic Grayling in northern streams (University of Waterloo), and the spawning ecology of northern Lake Trout (University of Manitoba).
