Biography
Alden Turner teaches Screenwriting courses in the Theatre and Film Department. He has also taught courses on Literature and Film, Early North American Literatures and Cultures, and Canadian Studies. He has published articles on American Literature in Studies in the Novel, Wallace Stevens Journal, and Clio: A Journal of Literature, History, and the Philosophy of History, co-edited Uncommon Wealth: An Anthology of Poetry in English (Oxford UP), and edited Experience and Expression: A Reader for Canadian Writers (Copp Clark). In addition, he has written three feature-length screenplays: “Cruise Night,” a contemporary romantic dramedy; “Rock Medicine,” an historical action/adventure epic; and, “Kelly’s Muse,” a biographical drama based on the life and art of Canadian artist, Kelly Clark.
