Biography
Dr. Allan has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Guelph and PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Queen’s University. She joined VIDO-InterVac in 1989 as a post-doctoral fellow. Dr. Allan became a Professional Research Associate at VIDO in 1992, a research Scientist in 1995 and an Adjunct Professor for the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Her expertise is in bacteriology focusing on bacterial diseases of poultry and foodborne pathogens
