Biography
Dr. Freeman is a professor and dean of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. His accomplishments include the establishment of an annual One Health leadership conference for health science students and the development of Canada’s first veterinary social work program with the University of Regina. He has supported the creation of a wellness program and a service learning program that takes students, faculty and staff to remote Indigenous communities for veterinary services and outreach.
Research Interest
He is past-president of ACT, a former Fellow of the American Council on Education and the current president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). He is also member and past chair of the U of S Council of Health Science Deans
