Biography
SENIOR MANAGEMENT SCIENCE MANAGEMENT PROJECT LEADERS AND VETERINARIANS TEAM Maria Fuchs CLINICAL VETERINARIAN 306-966-7486 maria.fuchs@usask.ca Dr. Maria Fuchs graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2014. Prior to veterinary school, she completed a BSc at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture (2007) with a major in Animal Science. Between her undergraduate degree and veterinary school, she worked as a Research Project Manager in Alberta doing research on feedlot cattle and then for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture. Her role at the Ministry exposed her to animal welfare, chronic wasting disease (CWD), and meat inspection. During veterinary school she interned for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) working on projects such as CWD, scrapie, equine infectious anemia, and humane euthanasia. Upon completion of veterinary school, Dr. Fuchs practiced in mixed and small animal clinics before joining VIDO-InterVac as a Clinical Veterinarian in May 2017.
Research Interest
Dr. Fuchs has a special interest in bovine medicine and diseases.
