Thomas Birks .

Biography

 Mr. Thomas Birks serves as the President of Birinco Inc. Mr. Birks served as the President of Henry Birks and Sons Ltd. He earned this distinction through progressively responsible roles as a Merchandise Manager (Winnipeg), Western Regional Manager (Vancouver) and Vice-President, Merchandising (Montreal). He has worked all over the world including Australia, Japan and South Africa for Coles-Myer, Mitsubishi Bank and Van Zwam, Vladykin and Douglas respectively. He has been the Chairman of Viterra, Inc., since May 1, 2008 and its Director since March 31, 2005. He has been a Director of Agricore United since June 2007. He served as a Director of Air Canada since February 7, 2013 until May 15, 2014. Mr. Birks studied at the University of Lausanne, the University of Fribourg and the University of Paris. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts.
