Rose Geransar

Biography

Rose Geransar is a health research, policy and management professional with 10+ years of diverse experience working across government and academic sectors to facilitate research and innovation in Alberta. Rose has a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Calgary, with a focus on bioethics, informed consent and governance pertaining to the use of human tissue samples. Rose brings unique training and experience in policy development, having completed a policy internship with the Government of Alberta and worked in policy shops at Alberta Health, Agriculture & Forestry, as well as Economic Development and Trade ministries. Rose was directly involved in helping to develop two major strategic policy initiatives at the provincial level, including Alberta’s Cancer Plan to 2030, and the Small Business Strategy for Alberta (“Building Our Entrepreneurial Spirit”).  Rose brings a multidisciplinary perspectives to her work and to relationships with clients across government, industry, the health system, and academia to drive successful collaborations that produce evidence to inform health policy and improve health system quality and patient safety.
