Biography
Jacques Ménard is Chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns and President of BMO Financial Group, Quebec. Recently named as the Chancellor of Concordia University, he currently sits on various boards including Stingray Digital Group Inc., Claridge Inc., the Montréal Symphony Orchestra and is the Chairman of Montréal International. He is the former Chairman of Hydro-Québec, the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and was co-chair of the Federal Task Force on Financial Literacy. A graduate of Collège Sainte-Marie, Jacques holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. He has also received honorary doctorates from Concordia University, York University, the Université de Montréal, McGill University, Université du Québec and the Université de Sherbrooke. Distinguished as an Officer of the Order of Canada and of the Order of Quebec, Jacques Ménard joined WestJet's Board of Directors in August 2011.
