Biography
Garth Grunerud originally joined Williams Engineering Canada’s (WEC) Yellowknife mechanical team in February of 2009 before departing in 2011 to complete his Mechanical Engineering degree at Lakehead University. While attending university he took courses in plumbing design, HVAC design and construction estimation. After graduating, Garth returned to WEC in 2015 to continue his career in engineering. Some of his experience includes building systems for hospitals, hotels, schools, and office buildings. He is currently registered with Associations of Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (AScT), Engineers Yukon (E.I.T.), and Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (M.I.T.). In his spare time, Garth enjoys officiating hockey, spending time with his wife and son and volunteering. He has volunteered for many organizations such as the Arctic Winter Games, BC Hockey, Hockey Canada, and Folk on the Rocks music festival.
