Len Bleile

Biography

As the Director of Product Development at Zephyr Sleep Technologies, Len has a proven track record for being able to take concepts to reality with elegance in design. He joined the Zephyr team with over 25 years of experience in high tech and advanced materials product development. He has led the development of engineering firms in Canada, China and Europe, and has sold product and IP (including licensed wireless integration IP) to major global companies. Len has established numerous high volume manufacturing facilities, where he has successfully built millions of consumer and business products, including builds of over 100,000 pieces of his own product. He holds 20+ patents in multiple jurisdictions for work in the high tech sector, and for advanced materials in the oil and gas sector. Len’s extensive product design experience in electronics, advanced materials and high volume manufacturing, as well as his experience as design engineer and senior manager for global telecom entities, makes him an invaluable team member at Zephyr. Len has skills with hardware and embedded software design, spanning initial architecture to layout, testing, manufacturing and mechanical assemblies. He has completed design work with advanced composite materials in large structures, and has successfully introduced these products to industry. Len has recently moved into manufacturing for specialized and unique products and prototypes. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary with a minor in Computer Engineering.
