Biography
Dr. Peter Cistulli has more than 20 years of experience in clinical and research sleep medicine and has developed an international reputation for his research on the inter-relationships between upper airway disorders and oral biology (dentistry), resulting in novel approaches for diagnosing and treating OSA (e.g. oral appliances). His research program has attracted substantial competitive funding and he has published widely in the sleep field. Dr. Cistulli received the Pierre Robin Award from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) in 2006 for academic contributions to the field. He sits on numerous professional committees, and has served as President of the Australasian Sleep Association (2003-2005) and is currently a board member of the Sleep Health Foundation in Australia.
