Biography

As the Director of Technology and co-founder of Zephyr Sleep Technologies, Sabina has been focused on creating products that will fundamentally change the way sleep physicians prescribe oral appliance therapy. Sabina leads a dedicated team of researchers working to develop new and innovative sleep medicine technologies. She draws on her experience in basic research, new technology development, medical device commercialization and her expertise in intellectual property strategy. Prior to starting Zephyr, Sabina worked with medical device start-ups in Calgary as well as Silicon Valley, and was a Director of Partnerships, Manager Licensing and Business Development at University Technologies International Inc. Sabina holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
