Sven Beushausen

Biography

Sven Beushausen, PhD. brings over 25 years of broad scientific and technical expertise to ZOETIC Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Beushausen was CSO at Aushon Biosystems where he contributed to the strategic growth and development of multi-plexed immunoassays. Prior to joining Aushon, Dr. Beushausen was the St. Louis Molecular Medicine Site Lead for Pfizer providing biomarker and Clinical Protocol support to the Inflammation and Indications Discovery Research Units for Phase I and II clinical trials. Sven also led Pfizer’s Global Proteomics and Reverse Pharmacology groups in addition to the Toxicoproteomics Center of Excellence. Dr. Beushausen has considerable knowledge and experience in the manufacture of products for use in biomedical research. As Director of Manufacturing Technologies at Life Technologies/Invitrogen, he was responsible for large-scale process development and purification of key protein and nucleic acid-based products. Dr. Beushausen holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, completed his post-doctoral training in Neurobiology at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Columbia University, NY and led a lab as a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute for Neurologic Disorders and Stroke, NIH.
