Wes Jickling

Biography

Wes Jickling joined Innovation Saskatchewan in June 2016 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Innovation Saskatchewan, Jickling held senior roles in corporate, government and international organizations. Most recently, Jickling was Director, Marketing and Corporate Services at global potash exporter Canpotex since October 2014. He worked in the Saskatchewan provincial government from 2009 to 2014 including as Associate Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, with responsibility for the Saskatchewan government’s federal-provincial relations, trade policy, international relations, protocol, and francophone affairs. Jickling also worked for five years internationally with the United Nations, with postings in Brazil, Swaziland, Ukraine and Sudan. Jickling holds a Master of International Relations degree from Aalborg University (Denmark) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Calgary (Canada). He was cocaptain of the University of Calgary men’s basketball team.
