Biography

Kacey (Mobley) Pellot-Rosa joined the UCCI team in 2013 as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Social Sciences. She has a Masters in Sociology from Florida State University in 2013 where she was offered a full scholarship to pursue her PhD. Her intention is to return to Florida State in the near future to complete the program. Kacey received her Bachelor degrees in Sociology and Political Science from Lee University with minors in Spanish and Religion on a Cayman Islands Government Scholarship. Graduating with honours, she also received a number of awards in Sociology and served as the President of the Sociology Club. During her time at Lee University and Florida State University she gained experience presenting research papers at academic conferences, acting as a Teaching Assistant for numerous classes and a Research Assistant. Kacey intends on conducting research in Cayman and the Caribbean related to crime and deviance but is also interested in social inequality, education and demography. Her passion is to motivate young people to uncover their talents and fulfill their potential, alongside encouraging a hard work ethic, critical thinking and social awareness.
