Biography
Sandra Lee Samuels has served as an adjunct lecturer for a number of years at UCCI and taught courses that spans pre-college, dual enrollment, certificate and degree programs, across various departments. She recently joined UCCI Social Sciences Department teaching psychology. Her goal is to make her passion for psychology and education contagious to her students and ignite love for the field of study as well its relevance to their everyday lives. She has a BSc. in Psychology from the California Coast University, MA in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Saint Stephens College in Canada; Postgraduate diploma in Education from the University College of the Cayman Islands, and is currently completing doctoral studies with Walden University in General Psychology, specializing in Educational Psychology. She also bring many years of professional experience of training adult learners in service oriented Industries and pastoral counseling. Research interest includes: maintaining long-distance relationships, resilience, immigrants, adult learners, and post-secondary participation.
