Biography
Chen Qing, born in November 1963, is a native of Fujian Province. Prof. Chen entered the Department of Mathematics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1978 and joined the faculty of USTC after graduation in 1983. From 1993 to 1996, he studied at the University of Tokyo and earned his doctoral degree there. Doc. Chen is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor with the Department of Mathematics, USTC, and he also serves as the director of the Management Committee for the Special Class for the Gifted Young at USTC.
Research Interest
Prof. Chen’s main research area is differential geometry. His current research interests are in the variational problem in Kahler geometry, and the integrable systems and submanifold geometry.
