Biography
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine (1991), with strong training in acupuncture and massage therapy, from the Zhengzhou University (formerly known as Henan Medical University). Experience Dr. Jiao has 14 years of experience as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, including 5 years of practice in China. Her clinical experience includes working in the acupuncture department of the Luo Yang Provincial Academy Hospital where she treated patients suffering with chronic illnesses and soft tissue pain and injuries (1991-1992) and as a physiotherapist having joined the hospital’s Massage Department in 1993. Academic Work As a specialist in cosmetology Dr. Jiao was involved in teaching the Diploma course in Cosmetic Acupuncture and Chinese Cosmetology at the Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR). Clinical Specialities Musculoskeletal pain, Tui Na (Chinese deep tissue therapeutic massage) and Chinese cosmetology, including cosmetic acupuncture, Chinese herbal facial treatment and facial massage. Dr. Jiao treats musculoskeletal conditions such as stiff neck; periarthritis; cervical spondylopathy; acute traumatic lumbago as well as facial paralysis; insomnia and stress related problems.
