Biography
Dr. Gudmundsson has almost 20 years of experience in drug discovery at small and large pharmaceutical companies, including Tanabe Research Laboratories and GlaxoSmithKline. He has a strong record of leadership in drug discovery, where he has made contributions to the discovery and development of multiple clinical candidates, including the anti-cytomegalovirus compound Maribavir (Phase 3) and the integrin antagonists TR-14035 and Firategrast. Dr. Gudmundsson has experience in oncology, metabolic disease and anti-infectives and is an author and co-inventor on over 100 publications and patents. He has a pharmacy background (MS Pharmacy) and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
