Biography

Mariana Maia is a Project Manager at the Swiss consulting company Thomsen Trampedach GmbH. Over the last 16 years Mariana has been engaged with all operational aspects of domain name registration processes in virtually all country code TLDs around the globe. She has organized domain name registration and migration projects for large international brands, and has gained unique expertise in best practices of online brand protection for large brand organizations with activities and a need for domain name registration strategies in the ASEAN and Latin American markets. She also manages online brand monitoring and enforcement tasks for Thomsen Trampedach's large client within the financial, pharmaceutical, and FMCG sectors. These tasks involve numerous take downs of infringing websites and domain names. She is active at ICANN and speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Danish.
