Biography
Dr. Emerling is a founder of Atreca. Prior to founding Atreca, he was Senior Director of Pharmacology at Nuon Therapeutics, a development-stage biotechnology company. Previously, Dr. Emerling was Senior Director of Preclinical Pharmacology at Renovis (and then at Evotec, its acquirer), which he joined as its first scientist. Dr. Emerling received a BA in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in neurobiology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he performed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley.
