Biography
Prof. Xin Cao is an associate professor at School of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University, China. And she is Member of Council & Member of Academic Committee at Yuan Ming Yuan Society of China. The main research interest of Prof. Xin Cao is on the heritage conservation and landscape planning and design. The main course Prof. Xin Cao teaches is the Conservation and Use of World Heritage, which is opened to undergraduate students and graduate students. Prof. Xin Cao has been dedicating in researching the heritage conservation and landscape architecture for years. She has published more than 20 papers. She got some awards, e.g. Teaching Excellence Award of School of Landscape Architecture, Fourth Liangxi Youth Paper Award, second prize(China Society of Forestry, Liangxi Education Foundation), CHSLA(China Society of Landscape Architecture) 2015 Paper Award, second prize. She had wide academic communication in China and abroad, had speeches in many important international conferences. And she accomplished more than 30 projects of planning and design, with practices in diverse areas, including various heritage conservation research and planning (national parks, wetlands, geoparks, reserves, historic areas, historic gardens, etc.), eco-tourism planning, park and open space planning and design, etc.
