Research Interest
[1] Clonal plant ecology and environmental heterogeneity: ecological consequences of small-scale environmental heterogeneity at different levels, i.e. on individuals, populations, communities and ecosystems; adaptive evolution of clonal life histories; effects of clonality on performance of individuals, populations, communities and ecosystems. [2] Wetland plant ecology: adaptive strategies of plants in wetland conditions and restoration of degraded wetland vegetation. [3] Invasive plant ecology: roles of clonal life history traits in plant invasiveness and community invasibility. [4] Plant-plant interactions: intra- and interspecific competition and facilitation.
