Biography
Dr. Kebin Zhang was born in Aug.13, 1957 in Xian-Yang, Shaanxi province. In 1978, after 3 years working in countryside and factories, he entered Beijing Forestry University, majoring Soil and Water Conservation, Desertification Combating and got bachelor, master and Ph.D. Since 1982, he has worked as teacher and teaching in College of Soil and Water Conservation, Beijing Forestry University. He has studied at in Japan National Forestry Research Institute in 1994. He also invited to Ethiopia and teaching the courses of Desertification Combating, Land Use planning, Soil and Water Conservation and also got award issued by Government of Ethiopia. Dr. Zhang has visited many counties and cooperated with scientists worldwide in combating desertification and land degradation control (LDC). He is supervisor of graduate student and at same time the Director of General Office of China National Training Center on Combating Desertification (CTCCD), which located in Beijing Forestry University.
