Biography
Dr WU received her B.S. degree in Microbiology from FuDan University in 1986 and Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University in New Jersey, US in 1995. She performed her postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Dr Joel Richter at University of Masschusates Medical Center from 1994 to 1998, focusing on molecular mechanism of maternal mRNA during oocyte generation and early embryo development. In 2003, she jointed in B Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) as an Assistant Director in charge of scientific affairs. At the end of 2004, she established a platform of gene cloning, protein expression, and antibody generation (GPA). In recent years, she leads a research group focusing on disease biomarker study, using protein microarray and proteomics approaches.
