Biography
Chris Owens joined BGI in 2000 where he used his experience in computer-based training to expand BGI’s services beyond the simulation industry. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a BS in Computer Science and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). He has over 3,200 flight hours with more than 1,300 hours in the F/A-18C as well as major airline experience. His combat experience includes missions in Bosnia Herzegovina, Iraq and Somalia. As an instructor pilot, he was involved in all aspects of F/A-18 tactical training, including flight and simulator events in support of the SFWT and NSAWC Airwing Training programs. As Chief Operations Officer for BGI, he is responsible for all day-to-day company operations, and has been the driving force in the implementation of key technologies that enhance our internal processes and customer service. Chris is the Vice President of the USNA-89 Alumni Association.
