Biography
r. Hickle has extensive experience in technical and business development innovation, and demonstrated leadership within biotech and growth-oriented companies. Prior to joining BioAtla, Dr. Hickle managed the San Diego headquarters and led corporate development for Synthetic Genomics, a company founded by Dr. Craig Venter to advance the development of bio-based fuels and synthetic biology. Prior to SGI she played critical roles at Diversa, AgriLynx, Mycogen and Stauffer Chemical (now Syngenta) identifying and fostering strategic business alliances and leading teams that developed novel chemicals and bio-pesticides, plant traits, vaccines, therapeutics, and technology platforms. She has served as a business and technical consultant to Bayer, California EPA, Schering Plough, Pioneer Hi-Bred, DuPont, Dow Chemical, Cal Poultry Federation and several biotech startups. Dr. Hickle received both her B.S. (Biology/Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Entomology/Toxicology) from the University of California Riverside. She is a Certified Board Director (UCLA Anderson School of Business) and serves as an advisor to UCR College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences and the University of California Innovation Council.
