Masood Tayebi

Biography

  Dr. Masood K. Tayebi, PhD is a Co-founder and Senior Advisor of BioDuro LLC. Dr. Tayebi is a Partner of Bridgewest. He co-founded BioAtla, LLC and serves as its Business Advisor. His wealth of experience and critical insights into the service sector, gained through his success in the telecom industry. He co-founded Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in 1994. He is a direct investor with sizable holdings in 9 venture firms including Oak Investment Partners and Credit Suisse's venture fund. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Formerly Wireless Facilities Inc.) from September 2000 to April 1, 2004. Prior to co-founding Kratos Defense & Security Solutions in 1994, he enjoyed a successful engineering career with several well known multinational corporations including British Telecom and LCC International. From 1993 to 1994, he served as Senior Manager of Engineering and the Head of the Technology and Special Projects Department for LCC,TSI, a provider of network design services and products. From 1992 to 1993, he served as a Consultant to LCC,TSI. Dr. Tayebi serves as an Executive Chairman of Molecular Response, LLC. He serves as the Chairman of Formex, LLC and Biotech Investment Group. He serves as Chairman of BioDuro, LLC. Dr. Tayebi served as Chairman of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. since June 2005 and previously served as its Executive Chairman from April 2002 to June 2005. Dr. Tayebi served as a Director of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. from its inception in 1994 to March 6, 2007. He received the Ernst and Young 2000 Entrepreneur of the Year award in San Diego. Dr. Tayebi received an M.S. in Electronics Engineering from the University of Southampton and a Ph.D. in Mobile Radio Propagation from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
