Biography
Jiatong Zhuo is a professor and deputy director of Guangxi Autonomous Region, Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He has spent most of his scientific career in the children vaccine preventable disease. Under his effort Guangxi autonomous region reached the goal of polio free in 2000. He created this new strategy to select high risk county with the interval of interepidemics of historic surveillance data and carrying mass campaign in the subtropic area. Professor Jiatong Zhuo is the Adjunct Professor of Guangxi Medical University and also is the MPH advisor of Rollins School of Public Health Emory. He has published about ten peer reviewed papers in Journal of Infectious Disease, Journal of Hepatology. He is the author of the book HIV/AIDS handbook for grassroot doctors and epidemiologist in China. He received Guangxi government highest award on his research for Yellow Card Warning System to Push Immunization Program in Guangxi and second level awards on his research for polio free in Guangxi and got the third level awards on his research for Yellow Card Warning System to Push Immunization Program in Guangxi from the Disease Prevention Society of China. Dr. Zhuo is the Chinese State Council Special Stipend Award scientist and the member of Technical Advise Committee on Immunization of Health Ministry of China and the committee member of Chinese Vaccine and Immunization Society.
