Biography
Dr. Hu is interested in gene mapping, cloning and functional study of disease/susceptibility genes associated with human genetic disease.I have identified two novel causative genes of high myopia.As a major researcher, I identified a novel causative gene of corneal ring dermiodand a novel causative gene of spinocerebellar ataxias using exome sequencing. At present, Dr. Hu is focusing on the pathogenic mechanism of genetic variations in high myopia. At the same time, as a major researcher, Dr. Hu is also taking part in pathogenesis and genetic association of childhood autism, aims to determine the chromosomal locations and causative genes associated with childhood autism, and further define the role of genetic material changes in the pathogenesis of childhood autism.
