Dr Ferrante

Biography

 Dr Ferrante has been an Independent Non-executive Director since February 1, 2017. She is also the Chairman of the Technical Committee and a member of the Audit Committee of the Company. She has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She was the former Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research and Development of Tokai Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies for prostate cancer and other hormonally driven diseases. From September 2007 to July 2013, Dr Ferrante held senior positions at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and its parent company, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, including Chief Medical Officer and most recently as Oncology Therapeutic Area and Cambridge USA Site Head. From 1999 to 2007, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer Inc., with the last position as Vice President, Oncology Development. Dr Ferrante is currently a member of the board of directors of Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and MacroGenics, Inc. She was previously a director of Baxalta Incorporated until it was acquired by Shire plc in 2016. Dr Ferrante has been an author of a number of papers in the field of oncology, an active participant in academic and professional associations and symposia and a holder of several patents. Dr Ferrante holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Providence College and a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University.
