Xu Wenrong

Biography

 Mr. Xu has nearly 30 years of working experience in China's oil and gas industry. In November 1997, Mr. Xu became Deputy Director-General of BGP and was promoted to Director-General of BGP in December 1999. In December 2002, he was appointed Vice Chairman and President of BGP. Mr. Xu was made Assistant President of CNPC in January 2004. He began to concurrently serve as Director-General of CNPC’s Development Research Department in September 2005, and as Chairman of CNPC Services & Engineering Ltd in July 2006. In June 2011, He was appointed Director of the Board, Chief of Discipline & Inspection Group, and Chairman of the Labor Union of China Shipping (Group) Company. He served as Vice President and also Chief of Discipline & Inspection Group of China Shipping in February 2014, and no longer acted as Vice President of China Shipping from July 2015. Mr. Xu was appointed Vice President of CNPC in January 2016.
