Biography
GAO Dayong is currently a tenured professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and adjunct professor in Department of Biological Engineering of the University of Washington at Seattle, and a Master Chair Professor II of the University of Science and Technology of China. He received his bachelor’s degree from USTC in 1982 and his doctoral degree in engineering from Concordia University (Canada) in 1991. He was an Alumni Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering of Kentucky University (USA) and also a Baxter Healthcare Corp Chair Professor there. In addition, Dr. Gao was also a Distinguished Professor of USTC under the ‘Changjiang Scholar Program’ of the Ministry of Education of China, a scholar sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences "Hundred Talents Program", and an adjunct professor of Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, and Zhejiang University.
