Biography
Guang-Nan Luo obtained his bachelor and master degrees from the department of physics engineering and the department of material science and engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. He got his doctorate degree in 2001 at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He worked for Guangzhou Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals from 1989 until 1996. From 1997 to 1998, he worked as a visiting scholar at Stiftung Institut fuer Werkstofftechnik (IWT), Bremen, Germany. He was employed as a Research Fellow at Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI, now Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA)) from 2002-2005. Dr. Luo returned to China from JAERI in 2005 to join ASIPP under the program so-called One Hundred Outstanding Young Chinese Scientists, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
