Biography
Baonian Wan, Male, born in 1962, Ph.D, Professor. Head of tokamak experiment division, institute of plas-ma physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Main intere-sts are plasma physical experiments and diagnostics. T-he research currently emphasis focus on plasma transp-ort and confinement, impurity particle transport and rec-ycling, optical diagnostics, magnetic diagnostics.  Graduated from University of Wuerzburg, Germany, Dr. Wan studied and worked at department of physics University of Wuerzburg, Germany, national institute for fusion science, Japan, Fusion research center, univ- ersity of Texas at Austin, USA, as Ph.D, Postdoctoral and guest professor. As divi-sion head, Dr. Wan carried out several projects from national fundation of natural science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wan has wide academic cooperat-ion with institutes and universities both home and abroad.
