Biography
Education and Appointments: 1981.07-1985.07: Studied at Horticultural Department of Huazhong Agricultural University and gained Bachelor degree. 1985.07-1988.01: Worked at Wuhan Forestry and Fruit Research Institute. Appointed as the director of division of evergreen fruit trees research . Studied on cultivation, collection and breeding of citrus. 1988.01-1989.07: Attended in advanced study of Japanese as the second foreign language in Wuhan Municipal Agricultural School. 1989.07-1990.01: To Japan for studying horticultural knowledge. Gained a certificate of studied courses. 1990.07-2000.11: Worked at Wuhan Forestry and Fruit Research Institute. Appointed as the director of the division of fruit trees research. Studied on cultivation and breeding of citrus and peach, diversity of Prunus persica 2000 to now: Working at Wuhan Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Appointed as vice director of Horticultural Centre. Have been studying on cultivation and breeding of kiwifruit and chestnut, conservation, evaluation and utilities of subgenus Amygdalus and other wild fruit species. During the period of 2002.09-2007.07, studied at Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and gained Doctor degree. 2008.12-2009.11, as a visiting scholar studying at Clemsnon University, USA

Cultivation and breeding of kiwifruit and chestnut, conservation, evaluation and utilities of subgenus Amygdalus and other wild fruit species.
