Biography
Dr. Chen is currently working as Associate Professor in Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Beijing, China. His research interest include interaction between inflammation and cancer especially in interplay between gut microbiota, mucosal immune system and gatrointestinal tumors. Specifically, I am very interested in the issues as follows (but not limited): 1. What changes happen to gut microbiota (e.g. composition and metabolites) during the growth and progression of malignancies (e.g. colorectal cancer) and the effects of this alteration on neoplastic transformation; 2. How to affect the growth and progression of gastrointestinal tumors by intestinal mucosal system (e.g. macrophage and ILCs); 3. How to foster immunosuppressive microenvironment caused by intrinsic mutation of oncogenic genes in cancer cells. And I am also interested in cancer immunology (e.g. MDSC generation and differentiation in tumor niche). He has authored in more than 35 publications in reputed international journals.
