Biography
Postdoc University of Iowa, USA, Molecular Biology and Genetics 1994-1998 Ph.D. Peking University, China Molecular Cell Biology 1992 Prof. Chen received Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology from Peking University in 1992. He worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Iowa during 1994-1998. He has worked at Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) as an associate professor (1998-1999) and then professor (2000). He worked as a senior visiting scholar and research scientist at University of Iowa (2000-2008). He joined Institute of Microbiolgy, CAS as a professor supported by “one hundred talents program” since 2008. His research works have been published in Blood, J. Cell Biol., PNAS, Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Cell Biology, J. Biol. Chem,Oncogene, Neoplasia and so on.
Research Interest
1. Molecular mechanisms of Abl oncogenes-mediated tumorigenesis. 2. Regulation of cytokine signaling by virus infection. 3. Signaling pathways of T cell activation and Signal transduction pathways in antiviral immunity 4. Role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in virus infection and tumorigenesis. 5. Key roles of small GTPases in intracellular protein transport, virus infection and cellular transformation.
