Biography
Dr. CHENG Shulan is currently working as a Associate Professor in the Department of Resources and Environment, University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , China. Education: B.S. and M.S. in Geography. September 1994 ~ July 2001, Department of Geography, Anhui Normal University, Wuhu, Anhui Province ; Ph.D in Ecology, September 2001 ~June 2004, Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
Research Interest
Carbon and nitrogen dynamics in terrestrial ecosystems, especially exploring C and N-cycling using stable isotope techniques and Molecular biology techniques ; Effects of nitrogen deposition, CO2 enrichment on C and N processes in terrestrial ecosystems based on manipulative experiments; Regional assessment on ecosystem nitrogen saturation and carbon sequestration.
