Biography
received a BS (1984) from Hunan University and an MS(1990) and PhD (1996) from Xi’an Jiaotong University, all in electrical engineering. From 1990 to 1999, he worked as an engineer, associate professor and professor in China Research Institute of Radio wave Propagation(CRIRP). From 2000 to 2001, he was a visiting scholar at University of Trieste and International Center for Science and High Technology (ICS-UNIDO), Italy. From 2001 to 2003, he was a special foreign research fellow of Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS), working with Professor Motoyuki Sato at Tohoku University, Japan. From 2004, he has been a professor of the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), and the Director of the key Lab of Electromagnetic Radiation & Sensing Technology of CAS. His research interests include Electromagnetic theory, Ultra-Wideband radar theory, Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) signal processing and identification methods, THz Imaging method. Research Interest
He is mainly engaged in theories and methods of ultra-broadband radar imaging, ground-penetrating radar technology, electromagnetic exploration of underground resources, moon/mars radar technology, ultra-broadband antenna theories and techniques, left-handed materials, THz imaging technology and so on.
