Biography
Dr. GOU Lijun is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Astronomy, University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , China. Achievementes: We made a first-ever precise measurement to the distance, mass, and spin for the black hole in Cyg X-1 system which is the first black hole prototype. Using MCMC method, we did a multi-band and careful analysis to the afterglow of the first high-redshift Gamma-Ray Burst (GRB), GRB 050904, which is located at z=6.295, and compared its properties with the ones at low redshift.
Research Interest
Black hole physics and its properties (mass and spine), gamma-ray burst including its explosion mechanisms and afterglow evolution, high-energy astrophysics
