Biography
Professor Guangwen Chen received his BE and ME degree in Chemical Engineering at Zhejiang University in 1989 and in 1992 respectively, and his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, in 1999. He took the lead in China to develop microchemical technology and to found the group of Microchemical Engineering & Technology in 2001. A complete R&D platform has been successfully developed to provide a solid foundation for the design, scaling-up (numbering-up) and application of microchemical technology. Microreaction technology with process capacity of 80 kt annually to produce monoammonium phosphate with concentration of 20 wt% has been industrialized since 2009. Meanwhile, petroleum sulfonate production with process capacity of 10000 tons and flame retardant Mg(OH)2 production with process capacity of 5000 tons have been demonstrated in industries.
