Biography
n 1987, he received a bachelor's degree in history in archeology from the Department of History at Northwestern University. In 1990, he obtained a master's degree in history from the ancient Chinese history of thought in his graduate school. In 1996, he received a doctorate degree in history from the Department of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Now a researcher at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1994, he received funding from Japan Foundation for International Exchange and went to Japan for doing research at the Institute of East and West Academia of Kansai University. In 1999, he was awarded a research scholarship by the Japan Science and Technology Agency for training in Japan's National Institute of Mental Health.
