Biography
Ran He received the B.E. degree in Computer Science from Dalian University of Technology, the M.S. degree in Computer Science from Dalian University of Technology, and Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001, 2004 and 2009, respectively. Since September 2010, Dr. He has joined NLPR where he is currently Associate Professor. He is currently a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), serves as an associate editor of Neurocomputing (Elsevier), and serves on the program committee of several conferences. His research interests focus on information theoretic learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision. He has published over 50 journal and conference papers in these fields, and has widely published at highly ranked international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (TNNLS), IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), and Neural Computation (NECO), and leading international conferences, such as Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) and the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).
