Biography
Hu Weijia, born in 1958, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. In 1982 graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shanxi Institute of Mining Machinery Department to teach. He graduated from Beijing University of Technology, China University of Mining and Technology in July 1989 and obtained a master's degree from the Institute of Natural History of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked in the history of natural sciences and spent one year in 1995/1996 at the Needham Institute in Cambridge, England. 2001-2015 Researcher at the Institute of History of Natural Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, August 2015 Transferred to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Joseph Needham "Chinese history of science and technology" translation and publishing committee member and director of the office, "history of natural science", "China Science and Technology History magazine" editorial board. Engaged in the study of ancient Chinese scientific thought, astronomical observation and the history of instruments and technologies. He has long been engaged in translation and publication of Joseph Needham's "History of Chinese Science and Technology", a major project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1999, he turned to the development history of Chinese science and technology, the history of science and technology policy and the strategy of science and technology .
