Dr. Junming Li is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Center for Agricultural Resources Research, University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , China.   Education: M.S., 1983-1986, Department of Agronomy, Inner Mongolia College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Huhehot, Inner Mongolia, China B.A., 1979-1983, Department of Agronomy, Hebei Agricultural University, Handan, Hebei, China Career-related Activities: 2004-Present: Member of Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, Hebei Province 2005-Present: Member of Crop Variety Approval Committee, Hebei Province Memberships: 1.         Member of the Genetics Society of China 2.         Member of the Crop Science Society of China Academic awards: 1.         The Special Tenure Allowance Award, the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, 1994 2.         The cross breeding between octoploid Tritielytrigia types and Triticum aestivum (The 5th contributor) was awarded “2nd class award for scientific and technological progress” by The State Council of the People’s Republic of China, 2002 3.         A New bread wheat cultivar--Gaoyou503 (The 3rd contributor) was awarded “1st class award for scientific and technological progress” by Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2001 4.         The physiological responses and improvement of tolerance to drought, chilling and water logging in wheat and corn (The 6th contributor) was awarded “2nd class award for scientific and technological progress” by The State Council of the People’s Republic of China, 1993 5.         The physiological characteristics and comprehensive enhancement measures of maize cold tolerance (The 1st contributor) was awarded “2nd class award for scientific and technological progress” by Hebei province, 1991
